    About the role

    The Quality Assurance Analyst will focus on supporting the 1st Line of Defence (1LoD) risk and compliance oversight in relation to key risk practices within the Business Banking portfolio - supporting the business leaders in managing their risks and obligations, developing their people and keeping their promises to customers. The role will also assist in the establishment and maintenance of monitoring and supervision services program across Business Banking by using extensive knowledge of the industry operational and financial environment, together with expertise in risk management.

    A core component of this role includes maintaining and enhancing Suncorp's customer identification practices (Applicable Customer Identification Procedures (ACIP) and Know Your Customer (KYC) at onboarding for non-individual within Business Banking – which underpins Suncorp's obligation to Protecting Our Customers.

    What you'll do

  • Ensuring quality assurance in relation to customer onboarding
  • Supporting the KYC Capability Lead and Manager, Centre of Excellence with 1st LoD risk requirements to deliver robust and consistent quality management frameworks for customer onboarding
  • Supporting the uplift of KYC knowledge within frontline teams, including training to business on KYC compliance and obligations and engaging with relevant business areas to drive implementation.
  • Maintaining reporting, dashboards and data analytics that support AML/CTF activities.
  • Supporting business teams with adhering to requirements through the provision of findings and advice.
  • Identifying and escalating incidents and/or breaches and managing record keeping of risk exposure.
  • Undertaking trend analysis, determining insights, writing reports and communicating to key stakeholders to support informed decision making.
  • What you'll bring

  • Prior experience (3+ years') in risk, compliance or related field within financial services industry
  • Sound knowledge of KYC requirements for non-personal complex entities
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of banking and finance, business risk and compliance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong commercial acumen to recognise and implement business strategies
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, rapport building and communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including AML/CTF
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Management or Finance is desirable
