    Business Services Manager

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Business Services Manager to join this incredible academic publisher. In this role, you will play a key role in managing the organisation's administrative and finance functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and contributing to continual improvement of business processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to establish and implement efficient internal finance practices.
    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate bookkeeping.
    • Manage a team of administrative and finance staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
    • Manage all facility maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
    • Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and external service providers.
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive innovation to improve workflow efficiencies.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial and regulatory requirements.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a similar role.
    • Finance qualifications mandatory, with a qualification in business administration or a related field highly desirable.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
    • Change management skills.
    • Experience working with accounting systems and software packages, especially Xero.
    • Experience leading a team.
    • Sound knowledge of financial and payroll processes and compliance requirements.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business analytics software.
