    JOB DESCRIPTION

    About the Role

    As the Driver Trainer you will develop and deliver national accredited and non-accredited training programs to trainees, employees and sub-contractors. The role is responsible to deliver best-practice training and assess drivers' competency to Vocational Education Training Framework, legislation, licensing and procedural requirements.

    What you'll do:

    • Deliver national licensing, accredited, and non-accredited training programs for Team Global Express (TGE) Driver Training Academy
    • Induct drivers in TGE operating procedures and familiarisation with specific vehicles and equipment for safe operation
    • Assess driver's competency under the Vocational Education Training Framework and Verification of Competency (VOC) Program the required standard and set timeframe
    • Induct drivers in operating procedures and familiarisation with specific vehicles and equipment for safe operation within expected timeframes
    • Assess driver competency as a part of pre-employment checks and send reports of outcomes and actions within expected timeframes
    • Complete an investigation of any driver incident as requested, implement and follow up any corrective actions within expected timeframes
    • Record training and assessment activities accurately within the Learning Management System

    About you

    You will come with proven experience in successfully driving the delivery of driver training. As a self-starter you have a passion for people development, a focussed mind and enjoy delivering to our team members, and stakeholders. Your relentless focus on results along with your natural curiosity and desire to continually will be critical to your success in this role.

    • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or be willing to gain the qualification (Essential)
    • Multi Combination and Forklift Licence (Essential)
    • Previous RTO Driver Training Experience (Desirable)
    • Experience in a similar role within a Transport/Logistics business
    • Dangerous Goods, Elevated Work Platform and Reach Stacker Licence (Desirable)
    • 3 + years' experience in a Driver Trainer role or significant experience as a driver. (Desirable)
    • Strong knowledge of computer systems and information technology (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
    • Experience in using business systems such as Learning & Transport Management Systems
    • Available to travel as and when required
