    About the role:

    The Compliance and Risk Manager will oversee and coordinate all risk management activities. Additionally, they will provide valuable guidance, advice, and assurance to the Board and Risk Management Committee regarding risk management-related matters.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct a thorough Business Risk Analysis and document the findings.
    • Create, update, and review the Risk Register.
    • Perform a comprehensive Risk Controls Assessment and ensure the implementation of effective risk management strategies.
    • Develop and review essential risk management documents, including the Risk Appetite Statement.
    • Participate in the development, documentation, and review of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key operational functions.
    • Effectively communicate and promote necessary risk management activities and initiatives to colleagues, external auditors, and other stakeholders, such as the Risk Management Committee.
    • Take on the role of executive officer for the Risk Management Committee, including coordinating meetings and handling paperwork.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required.
    • Preference for candidates with a background in financial services or internal audit.
    • Strong report writing skills, including the ability to handle detailed, complex, and technical concepts.
    • Exceptional analytical capabilities and hands on experience in policy delivery.
    • Demonstrated innovative and strategic thinking.
