    About the Opportunity

    We currently have a position available for a Quality Inspector to join our friendly, growing team in Eastern Creek, NSW. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity that will commence on afternoon shift but move to day shift when we relocate to Kemps Creek. We are looking for a motivated and technically minded Quality Inspector to join a fast-paced QC team offering great conditions, comprehensive training, and career growth

    Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, Consumer, the main objective of this pivotal role will be to identify quality issues for all new products into the market ensuring full compliance and working closely with QC and the WHS team to set up QC processes.

    Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform visual and functional inspections of incoming goods on a wide range of products including AC/DC power tools, garden tools, petrol tools, air tools, generators and floorcare products.
  • Exceptional focus on detail to detect defects in manufactured goods and effectively communicate inspection results and recommendations to Quality Engineers, Product Managers, Production and Manufacturing team members.
  • Utilize investigative skills to diagnose faults, identify root causes, and provide guidance to rectify faults.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for quality control, including sampling plans, inspection criteria, and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee and instruct workers on performing spot checks and reworks as necessary.
  • Participate actively and contribute to all quality department team meetings.
  • Skills and Experience for this role:

  • Experience working as a quality inspector/engineer in a manufacturing environment, coupled with practical hands-on experience in conducting inspections and tests, is highly desirable.
  • Product familiarity, particularly a strong interest in power tools, garden equipment, home appliances, and similar items.
  • Proficient hands-on abilities to dismantle products, perform analysis, and reassemble them effectively.
  • Proven experience in report writing, preferably in a professional or academic setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, encompassing both written and verbal abilities;
  • Strong Mechanical and or technical aptitude
  • Proficiency in computer operations, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook for emails, Teams for collaboration, as well as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
