    Operations Support Manager / Systems Manager / Civil or Commercial Construction.

    Established in the late 90s' our client has emerged as a very successful preferred delivery partner to public and private clients such as Local Councils, RMS , Govt Authorities etc. due mainly to their collaborative partnership approach for delivering complex Civil Engineering projects within Time, Cost and Quality.

    They specialise in (but not limited to) projects such as Bridges / Road construction and remediation / Ground stabilisation / Sports field development / Marine Works and Seawalls / Urban Renewal Projects etc.

    Projects generally range in value from $1m to $20m and are mostly in the Greater Sydney metro area with occasional regional projects.

    Due to a substantial increase in recently secured work (from repeat customers) our client is now looking for an experienced Operation Support Manager / Systems Manager – who can work, in a collaborative manner with all parties, to drive continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the business.

    Based in modern offices in Northwest Sydney, NSW 2153 (Hills District) and reporting directly to the MD the person we are looking for will have:

    1. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    2. Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
    3. At least TEN years plus experience in a Civil Engineering of Commercial Construction Environment as an Operations Support Manager or similar.
    4. Ability to produce meaningful reports to analyse operational and financial results, safety, asset management and cash flow.
    5. Ability to identify risk and opportunity across all areas of the business.
    6. Ability to mentor and lead team of professionals covering Finance, Commercial, HSEQ, HR, Community Engagement, Asset Management, Business Development, external consultants in IT, legal and tax.
    7. Ability to manage key stakeholders and ensure good relationships are maintained with all parties.
    8. Up to date experience in MS Project / MS Office / Benchmark / Workbench (or similar Job Costing software would be highly regarded.
    9. Territory qualifications in Accounting /Finance / Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering or similar would also be highly regarded.
    10. Experience in GC21 / AS4000 / AS2124 Contracts is preferred.
    11. Checkable references.
    12. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical + Police checks etc.
