    Description

    Condobolin and District Landcare is currently recruiting for a part-time position located at Condobolin, hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. If you are passionate about working with the Condobolin community, then this job is for you

    The successful applicant will work closely with Landcare, local landholders, environmental and peri-urban groups, to improve their capacity to support and increase community engagement and effectively participate in natural resource management activities that address critical agricultural and sustainability issues.

    The role of the successful applicant is to:

  • Stimulate local community engagement and participation in Landcare.
  • Provide support to groups, networks, Landcarers and landholders to participate in natural resource management activities that address critical agricultural and sustainability issues.
  • Undertake and support planning.
  • Develop partnerships and work to secure resourcing through project grants and other sources.
  • Monitor evaluate and report on activities and outcomes.
  • Facilitate linkages between Landcare activities/projects, Local Land Services and Landcare NSW.
  • Participate in Central West regional and state Community of Practice.
  • Work independently while working as part of a team.
  • Relevant skills, knowledge and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in NRM or Agriculture will be highly valued.
  • An understanding of the communities and farming enterprises in the Condobolin area.
  • Experience managing volunteers or working with community groups is highly desirable.
  • Experience with social media, marketing and event/project coordination.
  • Experience with grant writing is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The successful applicant must have a Class C Licence and will at times be required to be flexible in their working hours, which will involve some attendance at out-of-hours activities, some travel and overnight stays.

    A Current Working with Children's Check will be required to be obtained.
