The role
Our Federal Government client seeks an ICT Master Scheduler who will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and optimising the scheduling processes to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of project management principles.
DutiesDevelop and maintain comprehensive project and program schedules, incorporating input from various stakeholders, project managers, and team leads.
Collaborate with project teams to understand project scope, objectives, and dependencies to create realistic and achievable schedules
Utilise industry-standard scheduling tools and software to build and update project and program timelines.
Monitor and allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal project performance.
Work closely with project managers and branch managers to identify resource constraints and recommend solutions.
Conduct resource planning and analysis to optimise team efficiency.
Identify and analyse critical paths within project schedules, highlighting potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
Regularly review and update schedules to reflect changes in project scope, timelines, and resource availability.
Facilitate regular communication among project teams to ensure awareness of schedule updates, changes, and potential impacts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various project schedules and ensure alignment with overall organisational goals.
Proactively identify potential scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and risks, and propose solutions to mitigate these issues.
Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to assess the impact of changes on project timelines and overall delivery.
The Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience creating schedules, managing resource constraints in a large enterprise (preferably ICT).
Strong understanding of resource scheduling, and project management with the ability to create pragmatic schedules highlight issues for resolution such as resource constraints and dependencies on different skillsets.
Understanding of portfolio and project management tools such as MS project, Clarizen and Jira.How to apply:
