    Vestas Australia has a job opening for an environmental professional to contribute to building a sustainable future in one of the world's largest renewable energy companies.

    As an Environmental Planner, you will be responsible for managing the environmental aspects of the full EPC scope of our wind farms across Australia and New Zealand, as part of the large construction team supporting the projects.

    Responsibilities:


    • Ensuring environmental impact assessments and risk profiling are conducted on all Vestas projects

    • Conducting environmental legal compliance assessment for all projects

    • Obtaining primary and secondary approvals

    • Develop strategies to safeguard Vestas against environmental and compliance risks.

    • Maintain and develop good relationships with all interested and affected parties

    • Ensure all environmental management plans and obligations have been met before FOI

    • Incorporating environmental considerations into all phases of a project through collaboration with professionals.

    Qualifications :


    • 6+ years experience in a construction management environmental role

    • A recognized Environmental Planning, or Environmental/Planning Law degree.

    Competencies:


    • Demonstrated consulting experience in environmental impact assessment, planning approvals and environmental management work in the resource, energy and/or infrastructure sectors.

    • Demonstrated experience in liaising with multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

    • Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of Ministerial decision-making processes and understanding of state and commonwealth environmental and planning legislation.

    • Experience in and understanding of the energy (electricity and/or gas), resources, water and infrastructure sectors, and associated environmental and statutory legislation.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • An interest and understanding of community, traditional owner and landowner engagement.

    • An interest and understanding of Australia's diverse landscapes and natural resources and approaches to sensitively progress developments
