    Our opportunity

    We have an opportunity for a Senior Research Associate to join our Sydney office. You will provide effective support to the Group Research team in managing key deliverables for the Group and external clients; including producing analytics on economic, capital market and property sub market movements for a wide variety of internal and external clients.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Produce foundational analytics
    • Liaise with suppliers and work with the team on the procurement processes of data sources
    • Learn the variety of key macro-economic and real estate data sources including key various splits & segmentations
    • Undergo training to build expertise in creating charts and analytics through Macrobond (macroeconomic software)
    • Collect, update and maintain sector workbooks, outlook packs, forecast models and chart decks
    • Develop expertise with spatial data & visualization
    • Problem solve for the business using granular datasets including spatial data and GIS tools to visualise
    • Contribute to team deliverables including forecasting, client reporting
    • Contribute to houseviews forecasting including the collation of key inputs, materials
    • Produce quarterly commentary on sectors such as Industrial for internal and external clients
    Your point of difference

    You will be professionally qualified with demonstrated research experience. An understanding of real estate investments is an advantage.

    Technically you will have a proficiency with intermediate excel, QGIS, charting software (Macrobond, Haver Analytics), Snowflake Alteryx an advantage. Coupled with a willingness to stay abreast of macroeconomic, capital market, demographic and regulatory changes.

    Your communication and writing skills will be of a high calibre, and you will have the ability to build relationships and tailor output to various audiences.
