Youwill report to the Claims Manager andwork closely with the wider Segment Claims Team.Your Role As a SeniorClaims Specialist, youwill be responsible for delivering assessmentsof individual claims within a defined authority, across all lines ofLife Insurance products, to yourclients.
This role will give you theopportunity to showcase your currentskills and experience whileworking with a diverse range of insurers acrossAustralia, New Zealandand the South Pacific, you will:Assess the medical, occupational,functional and financial factors of the claims we receive whileapplying the Gen Re claims' philosophy, treaty terms and policyknowledge to your assessments.
Determine eligibility, investigatingnon-disclosure, and requesting and assessing retrospectiveunderwriting opinions. Conduct investigations and determine strategyand management plans for each claim. Manage relationship and portfoliostrategies. Participate and lead quality assurance reviews and audits.Participate in product and treaty reviews, tender preparation andpitches, and the development of new products and business solutions.
Research and monitor current and developingtrends that will impact theLife & Health Insurance industry. Contribute effectively to segmentand global initiatives and projects. Identify and develop bestpractice claims management initiatives for the benefit of Gen Re'sclients. Your Profile Experience managing life insurance claims at asenior level resulting in strong technical expertise. Strategicunderstanding of proactive claims risk management processes.
