    About the Role

    Operations Services have opportunities for experienced Maintenance Trainer Assessors to deliver coaching across a range of sites in Queensland. Trainer Assessors will be site-based and work rosters will be in conjunction with frontline. As we grow, our Trainer Assessors may be required to move between different sites depending on operational needs and to support upcoming deployments.

    You will:

    • Deliver competency based training materials to individuals or groups.
    • Conduct Verification of Competencies for specific mobile plant equipment and/or high risk work tasks to ensure new team members are competent and authorised to work;
    • Contribute to the design of training plans and assist in training improvements;
    • Ensure team members are adequately skilled and are available across all shifts to ensure safe and effective execution of work;
    • Work with team members to support upskilling and career progression;
    • Coach and mentor team members on how to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions relating to standardised work.
    About You

    You will be a Certified Trainer Assessor and able to demonstrate:

    • Solid knowledge as a Trainer Assessor with experience in the resources/mining sector;
    • Have an up-to-date Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment - preferably the TAE40116 or working towards achieving this;

    In addition, it would be desirable to demonstrate:

    • Hold any relevant High Risk Work, RII competencies or WHS licences;
    • Experience in test and move of mining mobile plant in the range of but not limited to Rigid Haul Truck, Dozer, Grader, and Excavator;
    • Have maintained currency with the plant/equipment and work activities in which you train/assess;
    • Proven organizational skills within a training environment and the ability to work autonomously;
    • Exceptional skills in the presentation of material and the ability to build relationships;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach others in improvement and upskilling.
