    We are looking for a highly motivated Business Systems Specialist to join a local council in Sydney, for a contract period of 6 months.

    The Opportunity: Be a Systems Superhero

    In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's Leisure Services department. You'll be the go-to person for all things business systems, ensuring their smooth operation and driving continuous improvement.

    Do You Have

    • Experience in systems application management, including administration, configuration, and analysis, with a proven track record of achieving objectives
    • Experience working in local government
    • Experience in project management
    • Preferrable experience in managing a range of cloud and on-premises based business applications
    • Demonstrated strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to follow procedures and resolve exceptions.
    • Report Writing Skills
    • Business Process Mapping Skills
    • Strong troubleshooting skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to design and document software solutions.
    • Exceptional ability to communicate, negotiate, build relationships and influence others with an engaging approach and technique.

    Here's what you'll do:

    • Act as a specialist/superuser for Leisure Services business systems.
    • Provide expert advice and support to staff on system applications and service improvement initiatives.
    • Manage the lifecycle and performance of assigned applications/systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
    • Train and induct new users, maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and conduct regular reviews for ongoing optimisation.
    • Lead small projects, generate insightful business systems reports, and champion innovation within the department.
