    About the Role

    We have a great opportunity for a highly driven and commercially astute Operations professional to proactively own and lead HR regulatory implementation, governance, compliance, reporting and operations in a dynamic, fast paced environment supporting our ANZ business.

    As a trusted Operations professional, you will be also be required to support implementation of progressive Human Resources strategies and policies to ensure effective use of human resources to achieve strategic objectives.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversight of the HR operations to fulfill internal governance and external compliance obligations;
  • Implementation of HR strategic directions from the Group in the ANZ business;
  • Preparation of dashboards and papers for the various leadership teams that include HR trends, interpreting data and translating into meaningful insights and associated action plans;
  • Lead projects/HR regulatory requirements and implementation;
  • Maintain market intelligence on legal updates, and other trends/benefits to ensure Swiss Re's competitiveness in attracting and retaining quality people.

    The Lead HR Operations Partner plays a crucial role in the small ANZ HR team which also comprises, Head HR Australia & New Zealand, HR Advisors/Administration (including payroll) who provide end to end HR support to the Australian business.

    About You

    You will have:

    Experience:

  • Interpreting and implementing Australian regulatory requirements;
  • Working in the insurance/finance industry;
  • Interpreting and implementing legislation;
  • Governance and compliance (HR desirable);
  • Leading an operational function and effectively managing projects; and
  • Problem solving and dealing with multiple stakeholders both in the location and globally.
  • Skills:

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, influencing, negotiating with the ability to achieve a win/win outcome;
  • Strong skills in dealing with legislation, project management skills and delivery of high quality outcomes to agreed timeframes;
  • Detail orientated, hands on, and have a resourcefulness to proactively find solutions;
  • Excellent system skills including Excel and Powerpoint;
  • Ability to interpret and predict trends; and
  • You enjoy team collaboration and contributing to the broader team on local and global business initiatives.
