Transport and Main Roads (Organisation site Technology; Information Technology; Corporate; Carseldine - Executive leadership role shaping the IT landscape of TMR- Lead a large, highly skilled team within Technology Section, IT Branch- Drive innovation and change through an exciting time for the Department Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), as Executive Director Technology, you will lead 4 direct reports and 188 total FTEs across the Infrastructure and Cloud, Service Operations, and Applications teams.

You will be responsible for a substantial budget in excess of $80 million, managing the Technology Section of TMR's Information Technology Branch (ITB) to deliver government priorities along with excellence in client service delivery.

You will be part of ITB's Senior Executive Team working collaboratively to assure the effective delivery of business systems solutions to support TMR's strategic outcomes and the effective provision of information, communication, and technology (ICT) services to departmental staff located throughout Queensland.

You will engage with customers across the Department, externally with industry, business partners and cross-sector cohorts, and internally with all sections of ITB to ensure the TMR business strategy is appropriately supported and enabled.

You will lead the service delivery and IT operations within ITB.

Additionally, you will play a key role within the TMR technology strategy, working closely with the CIO, Senior Leadership Team and key TMR business partners to improve ITB's contribution to business outcomes.

About you:

Key to your success in this role will be your outstanding inclusive leadership and management of multidisciplinary technology teams across both delivery and operations.

You will bring extensive experience in large, complex organisations across the public, private and/or not for profit sector and a strong background in strategy and policy implementation, service delivery, and client service.

Furthermore, you will have a demonstrated ability to develop a long-term technology strategy and utilise expert change management capability to implement this vision and foster a continuous improvement mindset.

You will be required to have expert stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build positive relationships at an executive level, with both internal and external customers.
