    About The Role

    We are looking for a site-based Environment Advisor to join our HSE team at Bell Bay Aluminium.

    In this role, you will partner with our operations and stakeholders to champion environmental performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interfacing with on-site personnel to promote environmental goals and solve environmental issues.
    • Providing technical environmental advice and guidance to the operational teams to improve environmental performance.
    • Preparing and submitting compliance reports and data required to comply with our license to operate.
    • Managing environmental issues, including surface water quality, stormwater management, monitoring, waste management, groundwater quality, emissions to air, incident reporting, and hydrocarbon/contamination management.
    • Delivering and participating in audits (internal & external).
    • Implementing and verifying the business' environmental management system.
    • Providing environmental advice in the interpretation of legislation, acts, and regulations.

    About You:

    • A commitment to safety is essential.
    • Excellent communication and partnering skills with the ability to work independently.
    • A Bachelor's degree in an Environmental, Engineering, or related discipline.
    • Experience with Management Systems ISO 14001 and the Tasmanian Environment regulatory framework is desired.
    • Relevant industry experience, such as large-scale smelting, processing, or chemical manufacturing, or mining experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in executing work in air, water, and waste management aspects.
    • A willingness to get hands-on with problem-solving and improvement.
    • A strong attitude towards safety and improvement.
    • Resilience and a dynamic approach to problem-solving.
