    Mindstar is a pioneering national wellbeing and mental health company, renowned for its innovative solutions in the healthcare industry and corporate Australia.

    We seek dedicated individuals to provide friendly, professional, and enthusiastic support as wellbeing coaches, helping customers improve and maintain their health and wellbeing.

    The primary responsibility of a Mindstar Wellbeing Coach is to confidently engage with customers via telephone or video conferencing, offering coaching to assist them in identifying issues and finding solutions to transform their outlook and set goals to improve their lifestyle and wellbeing.

    The work involves creating a positive, highly supportive relationship with each customer, providing ongoing follow-up and motivational support to help them achieve their desired health improvement.

    As we expand this work within our business, we require team members who are flexible regarding shifting and shaping responsibilities that may develop as the work evolves.

    No hours are guaranteed, but there is potential for this coaching work to continue expanding in volume over time.

    To be successful as a Mindstar Wellbeing Coach, you will need:

    • A friendly, engaging, and positive outlook
    • Intuition, natural empathy, and the ability to respond suitably in a timely manner
    • High levels of interpersonal and communication skills – written, in-person, over the phone, or via video platform
    • The desire to contribute positively to the improvement of our customers' health and wellbeing and motivation to see others succeed
    • Quick thinking and the ability to provide effective solutions on the spot
    • Discretion, confidentiality, sensitivity, and respect when dealing with our customers
    • Self-motivation and autonomy in your work
    • A love for technology and digital tools – with the ability to learn, use, and support customers through the Mindstar solution and other online programs and software
    • Good knowledge of Google's online suite of products and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
    • Community-mindedness and a drive to make positive change

    Duties include:

    • Coaching sessions conducted via phone or video conference in accordance with program and client requirements
    • Managing your caseload, including customer reach-out, making initial bookings, sending text reminders for follow-up sessions, and maintaining the schedule
    • Completing assessments and intakes to ensure appropriate arrangements for referrals as required
    • Attending online meetings
    • Reporting on sessions completed and customer progress
    • Invoicing Mindstar Head Office for payment of sessions completed (for contractors)

    Requirements include:

    • Receiving and completing training provided by Mindstar for the Mindstar wellbeing coaching model
    • Following key quality and internal organisational processes to ensure service delivery within contract timeframes
    • Providing resources and assistance to individuals using the service
    • Maintaining accurate and confidential records, including participant files, service reporting, and data collection
    • Maintaining a caseload of at least 15 clients per week
    • Participating in evaluation processes

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years clinical work experience
    • Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or Mental Health (academic certificates and transcripts required)
    • For Counsellors: Level 3 membership with ACA/PACFA Clinical members or degree qualified (Bachelor of Counselling or Bachelor of Social Science majoring in psychology)
    • For Psychologists: General Registration
    • For Social Workers: Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or Clinical Social Worker with psychological training and experience
    • Demonstrated counselling, social work, or coaching session experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of health and wellbeing practices
    • Previous experience with complex mental health conditions and/or individuals at risk (highly regarded)
    • Clear understanding of a trauma-informed practice framework
    • Ability to assist individuals to implement strategies as a Mindstar coach

    You will be trained in Mindstar's wellbeing framework, based on evidence-based psychological therapies. You must have an external clinical supervision.

    Contractor-based positions require you to hold an ABN, Professional Indemnity insurance no less than $20 million per occurrence, Public Liability insurance no less than $20 million per occurrence, and a current national police check (certification must not be older than 6 months). You must live and be eligible to work in Australia and have your own office equipment (laptop, reliable internet, and phone).
