    Opus Recruitment Solutions are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer professional to joinone of our key clients Defence Department based in Canberra on an initial contract of 24 months that will be extended to 48 monthsWe are seeking a talented and motivated Power BI Analyst/Developer to join our clients team.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and reporting using Power BI.

    They will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards, and provide valuable insights to drive business decisions.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze requirements for data visualization and reporting.
    Design and develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights into key business metrics.
    Create data models and optimize data queries to ensure efficient and accurate reporting.
    Perform data cleansing, transformation, and integration tasks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
    Develop and maintain documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, report specifications, and user guides.
    Conduct training sessions and provide support to end users on Power BI usage and best practices.
    Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and functionalities, and recommend improvements to existing solutions.
    Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
    Proven experience (4+ years) in developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
    Strong understanding of data analysis concepts, data modeling, and data visualization best practices.
    Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
    Experience with data integration from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs, etc.).
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    Baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain one is preferred.
    Additional Skills (Preferred): Experience with other business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik View, or Microsoft SSRS.
    Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
    Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS for hosting and managing Power BI solutions.
    Experience with data governance practices and data quality management.
