    Your Role at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital

    You will provide supervision and direct care of Registered and Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, Patient Care Assistants and staff under delegation within Rehabilitation team.

    You will provide clinical expertise and local leadership to ensure that a high level and quality of patient care is delivered, and the core Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care are achieved.

    The Position

    • Conducts nursing/midwifery practice in accordance with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Competency Standards, regulations and Scope of practice.
    • Delivers direct and comprehensive nursing/midwifery care, and individual case management to patients.
    • Performs the role of shift coordinator / team leader as required and takes a clinical workload as appropriate.
    • Assists with the submissions for changes to clinical practice and purchase of new equipment.
    • Assists the Nurse Unit Manager in the formulation and revision of clinical practice policies, procedures and guidelines and research as required.
    • Reports and takes action on patient and staff accidents, incidents and maintains a specific portfolio as directed by the Nurse Unit Manager.

    You will hold registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, as well as significant recent clinical experience within a rehabilitation speciality and the ability to practice at an advanced level.

    To succeed you will have well developed leadership and communication skills, the ability to supervise, give direction and delegate to the team. You will plan, assess and develop team and individual performance while being able to identify and problem solve including conflict resolution.

    • Salary: $100,858 to $107,722 (pro-rata for part-time) plus 11% superannuation
    • Permanent full-time and permanent part-time positions available, working up to 76 hours per fortnight
