Through our education programs and our advocacy work, we hope to inspire others to change their behaviour and help reach the national target of halving food waste by 2030.

About the role:

The Food Rescue Engagement Coordinator (Agency) plays a pivotal role in enhancing our community impact through diligent compliance review and effective liaison with OzHarvest partner agencies. This role is instrumental in streamlining services and elevating the efficiency of our food rescue operations. With a keen eye for detail, the coordinator will measure, monitor, report, forecast, and strategise to provide visionary leadership and promote operational efficiencies.

This is a part-time closed period position for a maternity leave cover, requiring two days a week in the office complemented by necessary site visits.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough site visits at both new and existing agency locations to ensure compliant infrastructure for safe food handling and storage.
• Understanding agency needs, managing expectations, and collaborating with the logistics team to deliver exemplary service.
• Providing agencies with continuous data, engagement, and educational opportunities to amplify their client impact.
• Maintaining an up-to-date agency database and collaborating with the national logistics team to collect data through surveys, statistics, and driver feedback
