  • Solution Engineer

    The Role

    This role is responsible for the implementation of projects delivering infrastructure, applications and services while ensuring the high levels of availability, performance and security. You will work closely with the Architecture team to contribute to the system documentation and design process. You will also liaise with internal, project and external resources to deliver high quality IT solutions and services to the broader Sanitarium Group. Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Technical implementation of solutions.
  • Delivery of 'as built' documentation.
  • Supervising any installation subcontractors.
  • Execute implementation work assignments to appropriate standards and quality.
  • Develop documentation to appropriate standards and quality.
  • Work with the project manager and architect to hand over completed projects to IT Operations teams.
  • Update documentation, such as 'as built', processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Deliver projects of high value and complexity working with other key project resources and stakeholders.
  • Ensure project changes follow change management processes and procedures.
  • Assist in capturing scope changes that arise through the project implementation phase.
  • Contribute to the effective identification and capture of risks and issues associated with the project implementation.
  • Championing best practice to all project team members and stakeholders.
  • Minor Project coordination of small works to assist Project Managers.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the Architecture & Information Security Manager.
  • Skills & Experience

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong technical skills (hands on) with working knowledge of Servers, Network, Storage, Cloud and Virtualisation technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing new infrastructure solutions.
  • Industry certifications including Cisco, Microsoft or similar is highly regarded.
  • Minimum 5 years system and/or network administration experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of virtualization technology – VMWare vSphere and vSAN.
  • Experience with Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Active Directory.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server in high availability configurations.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent writing and documentation skills
  • Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
