    The opportunity
    I am working with a Local Council to look for an experienced Risk Management & Insurance Officer. With your strong background in insurance, you will be self-sufficient within the team processing insurance claims.

    • Located in Sydney
    • 6-Month Contract
    • $50 p/hour + super

    What you'll deliver

    • Conduct insurance claims investigation reviews
    • Receive, process, and respond to insurance claims for damage to, or loss of Council property
    • Coordinate insurance claims for other insurance classes
    • Review and maintain Council Risk System incorporating Council's corporate and departmental risk registers
    • Assist in ensuring awareness of Council's Fraud Control Policy and Plan and contribute to review and update
    • Assist Manager in various tasks related to risk and insurance as requested

    What you'll bring

    • Demonstrated experience in Insurance Claims Processing
    • Demonstrated experience in Risk Management
    • Tertiary qualifications in a Risk Management or related discipline
    • High level of written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently with good stakeholder engagement skills
