- Produce Raw Sugar and C seed/magma that consistently satisfies customer expectations with respect to technical and quality specifications
- Produce quality sugar in such a manner so as not cause delays to pan stage operations
- Sample, inspect, and perform basic analysis on sugar and molasses streams, and maintain up-to-date records.
- Separate sugar from molasses with minimal losses of sugar into the molasses stream
- Remelt C sugar in excess of the pan stage requirements.
- Monitor syrup/ magma / massecuite stocks and inform the pan stage operators when levels are abnormal.
- Regular inspection of plant, equipment and completion of maintenance requests.
- Completion of log books, charts and any other data collection required by management.
- Work in conjunction with the Pan Boilers, Shift Leaders, and others as necessary.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping around the fugal station
- Provide on the job training and assist in assessing employees undertaking a structured training programme when required
- A commitment to continuous improvement including safety and the environment.
- Excellent Problem solving & communication skills
- Self-motivated with highly developed organisational skills.
- Ability to guide and support others, and work in a team environment.
- Strong commitment to following process and meeting defined targets
- Sugar industry experience advantageous but not essential
- HRWL for Rigging, Dogging, Scaffolding (or willing to obtain) and/or trade skills

This position involves continuous shift work, weekend work and some overtime in the Crushing Season (June - Dec) .
