    About the role

    This role sits within a squad that manages product marketing and performance for key commercial products across key target segments. We are responsible for managing the marketing launch of new products and features, looking for sales optimisation opportunities and coordinating marketing activity with the aim of driving sales performance and customer experience improvements, predominantly through digital channels.

    The squad does this across all commercial product categories with a focus on small business. Products include business lending, digital lending (GoBiz), Commercial credit cards, transact and savings accounts, as well as merchant payment solutions (via our partner ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions). This role will lead Product Marketing for one of these categories.

    In true Agile fashion, our squad will need to swarm on priority initiatives as needed, meaning the successful candidate will have the opportunity to broaden their Commercial product knowledge and marketing skills across the portfolio.

    The Marketing Manager is accountable for:

    • Product Marketing Ownership – Thought Leadership: Work closely with Product/GTM teams to build out holistic strategies for driving growth in acquisition, retention and customer experience for key business products across key target segments.
    • Product Marketing Execution: Project manage the launch of new products, offers and features to market, coordinating efforts across numerous squads to ensure all launches are integrated and successful. This includes delivery of campaigns, improvements, banker comms, personalised BTL comms and more.
    • Reporting and Forecasting – working with Data and Digital colleagues to build forecasts and track performance against those forecasts. Requires the building or commissioning of new reports, understanding data and drawing conclusions and insights into performance.
    • Sales Funnel Optimisation: Tracking performance of key products and their (digital) sales funnels, looking for areas of improvement, influencing other squads as needed to make those improvements, ensuring conversion numbers and sales improve over time.
    • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as the Transact & Save Tribe, Lend & Grow Tribe, Digital Origination & Innovation Tribe, Distribution, Legal, Risk, Digital Sales Experience, as well as relevant external partners and agencies.
    • Risk management: Ensure effective compliance and risk procedures and controls are in place. Perform risk assessments for new initiatives and processes as needed.

    What will you bring?

    To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

    • Ability to think strategically about the direction of our products, leveraging internal and external insights to drive a product marketing plan.
    • Ability to work with numbers: Forecasting, tracking performance, seeing the story behind the data to drive improvement in sales
    • Ability to execute marketing activities: Proven strength in execution in a complex environment - ability to plan, deliver, measure and optimise an effective marketing program of work that aligns and supports broader business and marketing plans. This could be individual work, or project managing a group of colleagues to deliver. Briefing agencies, reviewing creative, providing feedback, working to timelines to ensure a smooth delivery.
    • Superior communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels of the business.
    • Knowledge of small business customers and relevant banking products is a plus, but not a prerequisite.
    • Great interpersonal skills, including the ability to be part of a fun, inclusive, high performing Squad and Tribe
    • Agile experience preferred but not a pre-requisite. A growth mindset, resilient nature, and an ability to cope and support others through ambiguity, uncertainty and change at pace.
    • Ability to quickly grasp new content and the ability to translate this to your function
    • Ability to ask for and give feedback, mentor others
