    I am currently partnering with one of Queensland's largest employers to recruit an experienced Enterprise Architecture Lead to lead the creation and implementation of the Digital Data Strategy, including target state architecture, best practices and cost-effective IT modernisation. This is an initial 6-month day rate contract + likely extensions based in Brisbane's CBD with some work flexibility options available.

    As the Enterprise Architecture Lead, you will lead the development of the Digital Data Strategy, including target state technology plans and a Business Capability Model. You will collaborate with leadership to implement these plans, define best practices and create tools to identify opportunities and drive cost-effective modernisation across applications, data and infrastructure.

    About the Role

    • Lead the further definition of the Digital Data Strategy and Action Plan including the development of an Enterprise Architecture Vision, target state architectures and modernisation roadmaps for the applications, data and ICT infrastructure;
    • Work closely with Senior Leadership Team to drive adoption and maturity of our architecture function and support implementation of a Technology advisory consultancy service;
    • Develop a range of current / target-state strategies and roadmaps leveraging multiple viewpoints (across business, information / integration, application, technology & security) best practices, applicable regulations and standards;
    • Lead the definition and maturing of a Business Capability Model in consultation with business and Technology stakeholders and leverage with respect to current / future state application roadmaps and investment prioritisation;
    • Define and maintain an Enterprise Architecture tool to proactively identify opportunities for application and / or cost rationalisation;
    • Lead the development and maintenance of appropriate frameworks, artefacts, roadmaps, principles, policies and standards that detail the target architectures and cost-effective achievement of the target state;
    • Partner with the Manager, Solution Analysis & Design in Digital and Technology to ensure the enterprise architecture is implementable at an operational level and that solutions are developed in line with target state; and
    • Create executive-level presentations to help communicate insights, aligning stakeholders and driving effective decision making.

    About You

    • Tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science, information management, business management or a related field;
    • Minimum 5+ years' experience in Lead Architect / Enterprise Architect roles with at least 2 years of experience defining and implementing ICT or Digital strategies;
    • Strong business consultancy ethos and strategic problem-solving nature, with digital product development and implementation experience;
    • Broad experience working at a high level across multiple architecture domains (business, application, data, integration / API platforms and technology);
    • Highly skilled and "hands-on" technologist with a track-record relevant to the modernisation and simplification of all digital and technology business solutions and infrastructure;
    • Accreditation in an industry recognised Enterprise Architecture framework / methodology (e.g. TOGAF, Zachmann etc);
    • Proven track record of successfully leading technology design, implementation and strategy;
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply architectural principles, methodologies and best practices and translate objectives into actionable plans; and
    • Demonstrated track-record in developing and delivering technology relevant presentations, reports, documents to executive audiences as well as audiences with deep technical expertise
