    The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students 0 to 18 years.
    An exciting opportunity exists to join the Curriculum Division in the VCE Examinations Unit for an ongoing position.

    As part of the VCE Examinations Unit, the focus of this role will be coordinating the effective work of the Editorial team. The Senior Editor, Examinations, will be part of a high-functioning team that has strict security and confidentiality requirements. The main components of the role include, but are not limited, to:

    • effective editing and proofreading of VCE examination materials to publication standard, while ensuring the application of VCAA editorial and style guidelines
    • coordination of the work of other editors of examination materials, including their training, work allocation, monitoring and review
    • responsibility for maintaining editorial standards, including the authoring and maintaining of the Examinations Editorial Style Guide
    • providing authoritative advice to VCAA personnel and examination developers on appropriate examination style and editorial issues.

    Qualifications:

    Essential: Certificate of editing and proofreading or equivalent industry experience.
