    Our Benalla manufacturing site is in regional Victoria, 2.5 hours north of Melbourne's CBD. Close to ski fields, wine regions, hiking trails, rivers, and campgrounds, there is plenty to see and do. For over 40 years we have held operations at this site, producing transformers and kiosks to service a large domestic market. We are a dynamic and rapidly growing business, and as part of a large, global company, can offer many opportunities for future growth and development.

    We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Benalla Site. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager; the key aims of the role will be to manage the manufacturing teams; ensuring that customer expectations in terms of quality, cost, and delivery time are met whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety.

    Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

    • Provide effective and robust leadership to a skilled and multi-disciplined team including day-to-day labour-management - contract labour, casual labour, and overtime requirements
    • Ensure a culture reflective of the highest safety standards are maintained
    • Conducting L1 Safety inspections, incident investigations and action, risk assessments and ergonomic assessments
    • Ensure targets for the shifts are met, reacting quickly to immediate issues whilst proposing and implementing longer-term continuous improvement initiatives
    • Identify training needs and skill gaps for the group ensuring appropriate measures are taken to upskill and cross train the team as required
    • Drive and support SIM, Lean, 5S & continuous improvement initiatives and methodologies
    • Conduct performance appraisals and management as required
    • Ordering of non- production purchase (NPP) items via SAP

    Success in this role will require the following attributes:

    • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
    • Extensive experience managing teams in a similar manufacturing environment
    • Highly organized, honed problem-solving skills complemented by exceptional attention to detail
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Solid and comprehensive understanding of a lean manufacturing environment
    • Demonstrable experience in a matrix-style business organization and the need for collaboration to achieve results
    • Competent with MS Office suite, and email systems with SAP experience advantageous
