    Work Location: Hedland Operations - Fortescue's Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

    Roster:

    We are offering a range of flexible rosters for this role:

    • 4/3 or 8/6 FIFO ex Perth
    • 4/3 FIFO, 5/2 Perth office based or working from home
    • Residential in Hedland

    Reporting to the Port Engineering Projects Superintendent, this role will be responsible for maintaining Hedland Operations Port and Rail facilities Registerable Plant portfolios.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Thorough understanding and application of Work Health and Safety Act 2020, Work Health and Safety Regulations 2022, and Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995.
    • Expertise and experience in a wide range of equipment from itinerant plant (mobile cranes, elevated work platforms, compressors) to fixed plant lifting equipment (monorails, bridge/gantry cranes, davit/jib cranes, workboxes, 4-post hoists, vehicle loading cranes, and gravity take-up winches). Pressure equipment includes accumulators, air receivers, air cannons, air oil separators, heat exchangers, and pressure relief valves.
    • Maintenance of Plant Registers.
    • Establish maintenance regimes for all registerable items in compliance with legislation, standards, and internal procedures.
    • Compilation and rectification of non-compliances.
    • Registration of new assets and maintenance of plant records.
    • Inspection of itinerant plant for site entry.
    • Close collaboration with planning, engineering, and maintenance teams.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Related Engineering Degree or background working with Registerable Plant.
    • Competency in SAP (preferred).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint (essential).
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to positively influence people to achieve their targets.
    • Conduct Field Interactions with work groups to promote safe work practices.
    • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organisation.
    • Self-driven, willing to be flexible, and demonstrate initiative without supervision.
    • Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
    • Current Driver's License (C Class).
