    Our client, a leading investment management firm, is seeking a Business Development Associate to join their Sydney team. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, providing support to the wholesale business development team.     What you'll do:

    As a Business Development Associate, you will play an integral role in supporting the company's institutional and wholesale client service and sales processes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing meeting materials, tracking meetings, building effective working relationships, ensuring compliance with internal controls, among other tasks. You will also be expected to work closely with global teams on various projects. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, commitment, interest in finance, and a passion to succeed.

    • Provide clients services and sales support to all members of wholesale business development team
    • Schedule and track meetings in conjunction with sales and client service teams
    • Prepare presentations and materials for clients and prospects
    • Build effective working relationships with internal teams, institutional, wholesale and retail clients, prospects and consultants
    • Ensure all activities are undertaken within the company's internal control and compliance framework
    • Work efficiently with internal groups to ensure all reporting requirements are met and internal management systems are current
    • Ensure internal processes and procedures are followed
    • Work closely with global teams to complete consultant, researcher and prospect RFPs and questionnaires
    • Prioritise tasks effectively
    • Assist with completing client and consultant reporting requirements

    What you bring:

    The ideal Business Development Associate will bring a wealth of knowledge from previous experience within the Financial Services industry, preferably in funds management. You will have a keen interest in investments and the investment markets, coupled with strong analytical skills. Your ability to operate without supervision, coupled with your strong interpersonal skills, will enable you to thrive in this fast-paced environment. Your exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills will be key to your success in this role.

    • Tertiary qualifications (preferably in Commerce/Business/Economics/Accounting)
    • Ambition to complete further study (e.g.CFA)
    • 2-5 years experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably funds management
    • Keen interest in investments and the investment markets
    • Highly motivated, proactive individual who can operate without supervision
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Well organised with exceptional attention to detail
    • Proficient in Office
