About the role

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, as Legal Counsel you will support the Soda Group to meet its legal obligations and assist the Group's daily business activities.

• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with customers and strategic partners
• Advising on procurement contracts with major suppliers
• Providing advice on regulatory issues and assisting with license/ permit applications and compliance globally
• Driving group-wide policies and procedures development and management across the Group
• Reviewing and advising on PR, marketing, and promotional materials
• Providing advice on privacy, intellectual property and assisting with the maintenance of our IP portfolio
• Managing Group compliance, including insurance, contracts, and privacy registers
• Advising on new legislation and regulatory changes
• Reviewing employment agreements and providing advice to our People & Culture team
• Contributing to larger scale projects being undertaken by the Group in the telecommunications, infrastructure, and environment sectors
• Assisting on transactions and investments being undertaken by the Group
• Assisting with risk management by providing, advice across the Group
• Assisting with resolution of disputes as required

About you

• Minimum 3 years' PQE with top-tier law firm experience
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact with stakeholder across all levels of the Group
• Can-do attitude with experience juggling varying projects or working across diverse businesses simultaneously industries
• Clear and concise plain English drafting abilities with attention to detail
• Strong understanding of contracts and key contractual concepts/mechanisms
• Negotiation experience with an interest to continue to expand and hone these skills
• Comfortable with ambiguity with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Collaborative, whilst also able to work autonomously and to take ownership of projects as needed
• Ability to provide pragmatic, balanced, commercial advice
• Excellent time management and project prioritisation skills
