    • Provide administrative support to Council and Delegated Committee meetings
    • Fixed term to 30 November 2024
    • $71,689 - $77,464 per annum (plus super and monthly RDO)

    A little bit about the role
    City of Boroondara is a leader in the local government sector. It is a wonderful liveable city renowned for its leafy neighbourhoods and parks, heritage character, bustling shopping centres and cafes, and relaxed and peaceful streets. Situated in the heart of Council in the Governance and Legal Department, key responsibilities of the Governance Officer include:

    • Coordinate, prepare, compile, and distribute Council business papers
    • Set up, attend and support Council meetings, Council Delegated Committee meetings and other Council sponsored meetings
    • Support other administrative functions of the department

    We offer hybrid working where you will split your time between home and the office. Attendance is required to attend weekly Monday Council meetings in the evening, of which overtime is payable.

    • Sound experience in administration and business processes
    • Competent computer skills and ability to learn new systems
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
    • Well developed capacity for political sensitivity and awareness

    Employment requirements

    • All City of Boroondara employees must be fully vaccinated to perform work outside of their place of residence. Appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to provision of evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencement.
