    Description

    Transport Coordinator Role

    This is a key role within the Operations department, responsible for coordinating all aspects of the company's Domestic and Express Courier transportation requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate collections and deliveries for cleared shipments and warehouse movements.
    • Ensure cost-effective buying for domestic collections and deliveries.
    • Coordinate quotes and tender requests for domestic transportation and project works.
    • Promptly communicate transport movements to relevant parties in writing.
    • Coordinate and monitor domestic Hot Shot movements.
    • Maintain accurate Transport Log, ensuring timely updates and third-party job costs.
    • Correspond with warehouse deliveries and Insight warehouse receipts.
    • Deliver high-level customer service.
    • Accurately accrue costs to job files.
    • Invoice job files according to contracted rates.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar position.
    • Knowledge of industry, customs, and freight forwarding terminology.
    • Transport Coordinator experience.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Confident in conflict resolution.
    • Advanced negotiation and relationship skills.
    • High-level customer service skills.
    • Positive and professional attitude.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
    • Attention to detail and strong planning and organisation skills.
    • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy work environment.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Autonomy and team working capabilities.
