    Join our team as the General Manager – Buildings and Infrastructure and spearhead Orders, Sales, Contribution, and Divisional Profit for this dynamic sales business. As the driving force behind our B & I team, you'll develop and execute strategic business plans, inspire our Sales team to new heights and cultivate lasting customer relationships. Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Sales, this role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

    Duties & responsibilities:

    • Taking complete responsibility for orders, sales, margin, contribution, and profit and loss of the Buildings & Infrastructure Business.
    • Leading the development of the B&I sales strategy, managing the deployment and execution of business and action plans for success.
    • Providing dedicated support to the B&I Sales Team, ensuring they achieve individual sales, gross margins, and order targets through effective management, supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
    • Staying abreast of the national market and B&I customers, identifying sales opportunities, understanding customer groups, monitoring competitor activities, and staying informed about products and solutions.
    • Supporting the training and development needs of each B&I Sales Manager, & Salesperson, ensuring adequate servicing of the market by IPD, coordinating sales visits with nationwide customers and maintaining customer pricing structures.

    Experience & attributes:

    • Demonstrated sales leadership & people management skills together with good communication abilities. Be able to manage & lead by example and participate as a team player so that business plans & performance will be exceeded.
    • Ability to communicate at all levels with our customers.
    • Communicate and collaborate with all IPD Managers.
    • Ability to identify & create new business opportunities.
    • Ability to analyse customer requirements and deliver solutions.
    • Monitoring of performance goals and measures.
    • Ability to leverage strong existing relationships with Electrical Consultants, Major Electrical Contractors and Switchboard Manufacturers.
    • A strong team and people leader with 5+ years of experience in people leadership roles.
