    As a Senior Product Manager - Major Accounts you will be responsible for managing the Major Accounts product team, to support the product portfolio across a range of clients.

    Reporting into the Head of Group Life Product & Pricing – Major Accounts, you will apply your knowledge of the product lifecycle, analytical and problem-solving skills and commercial judgment to support the Group Life team to acquire new mandates, install new schemes, maintain market-competitive products, and retain and grow valuable existing partnerships.

    In this role you will:

    • Ensure active product management plans are in place across the product portfolio to ensure profitability.
    • Define, develop and/or maintain up-to-date product documentation for Group Life and Group Salary Continuance including documentation for tenders, proposals, policy documents, service level agreements and other required disclosure material.
    • Understand and negotiate complex contracts independently and to complete drafting and manage appropriate signoff and execution.
    • Know and track client portfolio rankings based on available research databases and be an expert with respect to client competitors.
    • Track and report on Product approved exceptions/concessions for the client portfolio.
    • Implement product enhancement/upgrade/changes on a regular basis.
    • Responsible for legislation/regulatory compliance of a portfolio of group policies.
    • Manage change and influence others to ensure compliance.
    • Run product workshops, training for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Identify new market opportunities and emerging risks.
    • Represent the Major Account Product Team on internal projects/forums.
    • Supervise the work of and provide guidance to the Product Managers within the team and oversee their professional growth and development.
    Qualifications
    • Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, business and /or related disciplines
    • Product development and new opportunity assessment experience within the financial services industry
    • Proven leadership experience
    • Skilled at writing technical documentation
    • Strong technical knowledge of life insurance product, with experience in interpreting, reviewing and devising detailed terms and conditions and good understanding of pricing methodologies
    • Outstanding analytical skills and methodologies
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent time management, organisational and presentation skills
    • Knowledge of compliance and other legislative requirements
