    About the role:

    Reporting to the Senior Principal Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical, the Senior Engineer provides a quality electrical engineering service for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This includes the provision of technical support and advice in contracting, design, and operations. You will be working with a project team, providing technical advice and governance of the delivery of the Arc Flash Mitigation program of works.

    What the role will involve:

    • Managing consultants through the planning, definition and design of projects and review outputs and performance for conformity to design criteria, client requirements and agreed time and cost.
    • Providing advice to and liaising with internal customers, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, contractors, industry regulators and agencies.
    • Developing and delivering strategic reports and designs for the improvement of electrical asset performance using in-house or external resources.
    • Preparing tender documentation for the purchase of electrical equipment
    • Providing electrical advice to ensure safe and appropriate design with lowest whole-of-life cost

    Key skills and experience:

    • You will have engineering experience in the water and wastewater industry
    • Strong design of infrastructure assets, contract management and technical support of operating assets.
    • You will have experience within a Design Manager or Designer role
    • The ability to analyse existing and/or proposed infrastructure assets to evaluate engineering and economic effectiveness and to present viable recommendations
