    About the role:
    YHA Brisbane City
    is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in the heart of Brisbane on a full-time basis. You will be responsible in the building, equipment, fixtures and fittings throughout YHA Brisbane property to the highest possible standard. You will ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all guests, visitors and employees. This is a hands-on role as well as showcasing your great supervision skills to support a small team.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Communicate with team members and subcontractors to ensure that they are kept informed of any issues relating to contract performance and compliance.
    • Ensure that work site instructions are followed including Risk Assessments, Job Analysis, Hazard Identification, and In Process Inspections.
    • Identification, supervision, and day-to-day control of team members onsite, including performance monitoring and recommendations on work allocation.
    • Coordinate and issue work requests to trades.
    • Client liaison, customer care regarding maintenance

    What are we looking for?

    • Trade Qualification is essential.
    • Background in accommodation maintenance (preferred but not essential)
    • Intermediate computer skills
    • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
    • Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
    • Must have Full Australian Working Rights
    • General maintenance experience in a high volume accommodation environment or similar is essential.
