    Job Summary

    We are partnering with a leading boutique firm that is going through an exciting growth period. The firm requires an ambitious and experienced Bookkeeper with Australian experience to assist in growing the bookkeeping arm of the business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate financial records for clients, including day-to-day transactions, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
    • Manage the bookkeeping for a diverse array of clients (a portfolio of 10).
    • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
    • Prepare and submit BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements) for clients.
    • Conduct bank reconciliations.
    • Manage payroll, including employee timesheets, salary payments, and superannuation.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and client review.
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Liaise with clients daily and build strong relationships.
    • Progress to preparing management reports and analysis.
    • Provide administrative support related to financial activities.
    • Report to multiple accountants and managers.

    Requirements

    • Must be an Australian Citizen with full working rights in Australia.
    • Proven experience as a bookkeeper in a similar role and in an professional accounting firm is highly regarded.
    • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly MYOB AE and Xero.
    • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
