    Job Description:

    We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our team at Gaziantep Sweets. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a key role in crafting our signature baklava and chocolates, using traditional methods and premium ingredients.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, including baklava, using traditional Turkish recipes and techniques.
    • Ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency in all pastry products.
    • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain production
    • Verify the quality of raw materials, including premium nuts, honey, and filo pastry, and meticulously weigh ingredients to guarantee precise measurements.
    • Execute various pastry techniques, including the delicate kneading, cutting, moulding, mixing, and shaping of dough, to craft authentic baklava and other Turkish pastry delights with finesse and accuracy.
    • Prepare a diverse range of pastry fillings, incorporating traditional Turkish flavors and ingredients, to infuse our creations with authentic taste and charm.
    • Monitor oven temperatures meticulously and assess product appearance to ascertain optimal baking times and maintain consistent quality standards for our signature baklava and Turkish delights.
    • Coordinate and oversee the entire production process, from forming and loading to baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of batches of baklava, Turkish pastries, and confections, with efficiency and proficiency.
    • Employ artistic flair to glaze baklava and pastries and embellish cakes with cream and icing, ensuring each creation is visually stunning and reflects our commitment to excellence.
    • Operate machinery for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits with precision and expertise, while maintaining the integrity of traditional Turkish pastry-making techniques.
    • Maintain immaculate cleanliness by regularly emptying, cleaning, and greasing baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipment, preserving the purity and authenticity of our Turkish delicacies.

    About the candidate:
