    About the Role

    Based in the Brisbane office, this role is responsible for delivering strategic category, procurement, and contract management solutions to deliver onshore development projects.
    This is an exciting role where you will ensure Santos' contracting and supply chain solutions are market leading; through market intelligence, sourcing, negotiations, project management of procurement plans, supply chain risk mitigation and contract management.

    Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Professionally representing the Procurement function and Santos internally and externally
  • Frame, develop and execute category plans for critical categories and contribute to other category plans.
  • Develop contracting and procurement project plans in accordance with the procurement SMS and project requirements.
  • Identify, frame, lead and manage major high risk and complex contract and procurement packages in support of major development.
  • Identify and deliver project benefits through sourcing, negotiation, and excellence in contract management.
  • Mitigate supply chain risk to de-risk and deliver project objectives through implementation of lessons learnt and integrated planning.
  • Work collaboratively (and with influence) with key stakeholders to ensure business needs are understood and project strategies aligned.
  • Develop and lead complex negotiations with contractors including complex variations, claims and disputes and proactively engage legal, project leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide SME expertise in tender probity, evaluation, and procurement policies to execute sourcing in accordance with the SMS including identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide expertise and advice in negotiation of contract terms, variations, and disputes.
  • Drive integration and alignment between procurement schedule, work scopes and contract packages.
  • Contract management and administration for assigned contracts.
  • About You Holding a tertiary qualification in law, engineering, business, supply chain management or other relevant discipline, the ideal candidate will possess previous experience on major projects in the Oil & Gas, or a similar industry, as well as significant time served in a lead contracts and procurement capacity on major Oil & Gas or construction projects.
    Any experience in Logistics in term of managing high value large equipment, as well as supply chain management, will be looked upon favourably.
