An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and professional individual to step into the leadership position of Part 145 Quality and Safety Manager. About the Role

The Part 145 Quality and Safety Manager will be a nominated CASA Form 004 holder as outlined in the CASA Part 145 Manual of Standards (MOS). The role will ensure effective implementation and compliance with the Company Quality and Safety Management Systems while providing positive engagement and support with Alliance Airlines - Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance department heads with relation to Quality and Safety and Compliance Requirements.

The Part 145 Quality and Safety Manager is responsible for but not limited to:

• Issuing certification authorisations to P145 certifying employees
• Ensuring compliance with the P145 QMS and MOE
• Ensuring compliance with the SMS
• Completion of assigned audits to acquit the audit schedule on time.
• Host external Quality and Safety investigator and audit teams as required during organisational 3rd Party Audits
• Perform and complete Audit and Investigations as required
• Provide SME input to Quality and Safety Investigations as requested
• Provide an active Quality and Safety interface with the AMO Departments and provide direction and advice as required to develop internal Policy, Process and procedures
• Analyse all safety occurrences to determine if investigation is warranted in accordance with CSM
• Report any significant or elevated safety risks to the CEO, GM RAM and Head of Safety
• Develop and maintains organisational tools, procedures and methodologies for Safety Risk and Change Management System for the AMO.
• Assists with developing and implementing safety procedures consistent with the operational requirements of the AMO
• Ensures compliance with employment agreements and company policies in all activities
• Ensure that all new staff are inducted into the requirements of the QMS related to their own roles and responsibilities. Identify and update training as necessary.

WH&S, Quality, Safety, Security, Environmental & Regulatory Compliance

• Promote and maintain a high standard of quality, safety and security compliance as required by the Alliance Airlines Company Safety Manual by all subordinate staff
• Promote safety & security reporting within the eSMS by all staff
• Liaise with CASA (as directed by the Executive Management) in relevant matters affecting AMO Quality and Safety. Comply with all mandatory incident and reporting requirements
• Builds and maintains strong working relationships with regulatory and other external customers/contractors as required
• Ensure a high standard of WH&S and environmental compliance in accordance with state legislative requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Eligible for CASA Form 004 requirements (Mandatory)
• Significant P145 experience, preferably Base Maintenance
• Hold an Aviation Lead Auditor certificate (Mandatory)
• Hold a Safety Investigator accreditation (Mandatory)
• Have Aviation experience and/or associated Tertiary qualification
• Hold an Environmental accreditation (Desirable)
• Hold an WH&S accreditation (Desirable)
• Ability to hold an ASIC (Mandatory)

Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of CASA P145 Quality and Safety requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of P145 Quality and Safety Management Systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of Human Factors within aircraft Base Maintenance
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary aviation safety Investigation procedures and policies
• Knowledge in an Australian regulatory environment including WH&S and Environmental requirements
• Knowledge of aviation fuel standards
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary aviation safety audit procedures and policies
• Demonstrated interaction with CASA and 3rd Party organisations in regards to occurrence and Investigation management
• Dealing with suppliers of various company safety systems
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team focussed environment
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy of work
• Ability to think laterally in order to problem solve
• Well-developed computing skills, particularly MS Office

About Alliance - Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance

Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance (RAM) is a $60M brand new, 3 bay Base Maintenance facility located at Rockhampton airport.

RAM has been established to provide Base Maintenance services to Alliance Airlines fleet of E190 and F70/100 aircraft.

Located in Central Queensland, Rockhampton offers all your cosmopolitan conveniences in a contemporary riverside setting and is 35 minutes from the beaches of Yeppoon. Rockhampton is easily accessible from Brisbane with over 5 direct flights every day.
