    Drive Engagement, Culture, and HR Excellence

    As a People & Culture Business Partner at the State Electricity Commission (SEC), you will be an integral part of our dynamic team driving Victoria's renewable energy transition.

    About the Role

    This is a full-time, fixed-term position based in either Melbourne or Morwell. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, collaborating with leaders to drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Operational and strategic partner to the organisation, responsible for providing expert advice and guidance in all areas of the employee lifecycle;
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and department heads on all P&C-related matters across the employee lifecycle, escalating to the appropriate SME as required;
    • Design and implement operational People & Culture processes aligned to best practice, compliance and organisational objectives.

    Requirements

    • Provide expert guidance and support to all levels of the workforce on People & Culture processes, policies, regulations, and legislation.
    • Coach and mentor managers and supervisors on P&C best practices, performance management, and employee relations, fostering leadership development.
    • Design and implement employee engagement initiatives, including recognition, DEIB, wellbeing programs, and feedback mechanisms, to promote a positive workplace culture.
    • Develop and implement performance, development, and reward frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address P&C-related challenges, contribute to strategic initiatives, and support recruitment, talent management, and workforce planning.
