    Full time
    Description
    • $1500 paid daily plus travel, car & accommodation support
    • Assist the main clinic initially with future opportunity within the network
    • Balanced patient load in this bulk-billing clinic

    The Opportunity

With current locum requirements across the 25th March – 26th April, with this organisation there is both the opportunity to help out for a one-off 2 week minimum period, or to pick up future blocks where you can also have more involvement with the outreach and network clinics as well. For your initial locum block you will be based in the main city where you will assist in the GP clinic which is a fully bulk-billed service at present. This will allow you to become familiar with full services offered, patients they service and the referral pathways as well. This primary clinic uses Best Practice software and is open from 9am – 5pm with a balanced patient load being seen and appointments varying from 15 – 30+ minutes dependent on the patient's needs.

When outreach and network clinic cover is involved this may involve flying or driving out to the clinics which offer only booked appointments and no walk-ins. For some clinics they have associations with the local health network and are staffed by nurses, whilst for others you may travel with a practice nurse to help run the clinic.

$1500 is paid daily plus travel, car and accommodation support provided. 2 weeks is the minimum required and ideally they hope for those who can return to assist the service on numerous occasions. There is an interview process to follow which we can discuss further.

    The Location

This town is a true outback city in every sense - a living, breathing time capsule where the great mining prosperity of yesteryear blends seamlessly with a rising modern art scene. It's a place of huge skies, red rocky earth, and a fascinating and internationally significant history. It is, after all, Australia's first heritage-listed city and its secrets are just waiting to be discovered. For assignments that include outreach clinics, accommodation is based in the main city and you will return there every day.

    Essential Criteria

For some network clinics, there can be a higher percentage of Aboriginal patients so interest in this area is ideal. All candidates must have full Australian working rights, AHPRA specialist registration & Fellowship with the RACGP or equivalent. A NSW WWCC is also required.
