    About the Opportunity:

    The Mine Surveyor will report to the Technical Services Superintendent on site, ensuring timely surveying control for optimal mining of the ore body. This involves maintaining accurate, up-to-date mine plans to support production activity.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide survey support and assist the Technical Services Team in planning processes.
    • Ensure survey data is recorded and stored according to project management plans.
    • Comply with statutory and safety requirements for survey activities on site.
    • Conduct daily survey tasks and weekly mine compliance reporting.
    • Complete on-site RPAS drone surveys/scans/photos/incident reporting.
    • Conduct EOM pickups and volume calculations.
    • Develop positive relationships with the Technical Services Teams and Client Representatives.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in a Mine Surveying environment.
    • Experience with Trimble GPS.
    • Experience working at a large-scale open cut mining operation.
    • Tertiary qualification in surveying or equivalent.
    • Understanding of mining principles, design concepts, and operations (particularly their relation to survey activities).
    • Proficient in relevant survey software including Surpac & Agisoft.
    • Proficient in photogrammetry software and techniques.
    • RPAS certified.
    • An ability to link technical outcomes to financial results.
    • Knowledge of mine operation regulatory and legislative requirements.

    Pre-Employment Requirements:

    • A National Police Check, pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screening, and other checks are required to work at the mine site.
