    Position Details

    Ngalangangpum School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Early Years Teacher to join our staff in Term This is an ongoing position, however, for anyone interested in a short-term Kimberley experience, minimum of a semester, your application will still be considered, and you are encouraged to apply.


    Ngalangangpum School is a remote Aboriginal Community school located in the East Kimberley, 200km south of Kununurra. The school seeks to nurture Gospel values and Aboriginal Spirituality alongside each other.

    At Ngalangangpum School we pride ourselves on our commitment to the Two Way traditions on which our school was founded, working closely with community members teaching traditional culture and beliefs, through the rich forms of of expression in language, art and music.

    Our school caters for up to 50 students from Kindergarten through to Year 10.

    Ngalangangpum School has a high regard for building strong relationships with families and students and ensuring the individual needs of students are met through differentiation and trauma informed practice.

    Selection Criteria


    • Demonstrate a commitment to the Church's mission in Catholic Education and the capacity to contribute to the spiritual and community dimensions of the school
    • Have sound IT skills and the ability to integrate technology effectively into the curriculum.
    • Be an organised staff member who shows initiative, flexibility and displays a positive outlook.
    • Demonstrate the capacity and enthusiasm required to build community with staff, parents, students and the wider community.
    • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills which create supportive and safe environments.
    • An understanding of and the ability to differentiate the teaching and learning program to cater for a variety of student needs.
    • Ability to analyse and use data to inform teaching and learning practices in order to raise student levels of achievement.

    Qualifications Required



    • A relevant tertiary Early Childhood qualification.
    • Accreditation to Teach Religious Education Learning Area, or willingness and commitment to achieve Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
