  • The Role

    As an APS 4 Materiel Inventory Officer in Land Domain, you will apply your logistics and asset management skills to support some of the largest complex programs in Australia. You will be given the unique opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver Australian Defence Force systems that are at the leading edge of Defence capability.

    Your responsibilities will include working with your team to complete moderately complex inventory and asset management tasks. You will work within a framework of legislation, established principles and procedures, to support the sustainment of a multi-million dollar portfolio of equipment to support the Australian Defence Force.

You will use your initiative to make informed decisions and solve problems, identify risks and issues, and communicate these clearly to others. You are able to respond, under direction, to changes in stakeholder needs and expectations to achieve team outcomes. You will be expected to support your team to achieve organisational objectives, while continuing to pursue your own self-development goals.

    For the role, you will need an ability to use logistic software packages, interpret data, make sound decisions and use good judgement. In addition, clear and concise communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at various levels is highly desirable. APS 4 Materiel Inventory Officers are required to achieve moderately complex materiel logistics inventory and asset management work, and supervise and develop staff.
