- Oversee the development and delivery of capital works programs, maintenance programs and service arrangements for roads, paths, drainage, carparks, bridges, and other infrastructure as required.
- Manage the development and execution of technical strategies and plans for municipal infrastructure,
including traffic management, drainage systems, public transport, road hierarchy, and path network. - Department Management
- Recommend policy changes to Director, review and maintain operational procedures to ensure the maintenance and implementation of quality documentation.
- Manage projects in accordance with adopted project management framework(s) and project management systems to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Well-developed leadership and managerial skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or relevant field, or significant experience in civil construction
- Demonstrated experience in project management of construction and/or civil infrastructure projects
- Relevant knowledge/experience in civil design and/or construction
- Relevant knowledge/experience in asset management and how it applies to Local Government
