As a Patient Transport Officer with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, you will be part of a team providing high-quality patient care and transport services to rural and remote communities.

Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is Australia's iconic charity, serving Australians since 1928. We provide emergency road, aeromedical, and primary health services for people in rural and remote areas. Our Mobile Patient Care team offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport in Victoria and New South Wales, using ambulances and RFDS aircraft.

About the role

Flying Doctor Mobile Patient Care is seeking casual Patient Transport Officers for Echuca. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care and treatment during transport. Key responsibilities include:

1. Performing patient assessments and interventions on-road
2. Providing high-quality patient care and treatment
3. Developing positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
4. Assessing intervention effectiveness according to RFDS MPC guidelines and NEPT regulations
5. Working independently and problem-solving within established policies and procedures
6. Maintaining a strong understanding of RFDS MPC policies and NEPT regulations

Requirements:

• Cert III in Non-emergency Patient Care qualification
• Experience in the Non-Emergency Patient Transport sector (desirable)
• Full Victorian Driver's license and satisfactory driving history report
• Availability to work shifts across 7 days
