  • We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead the design and delivery of our approach to managing technology risk in the business.

    The Role

    Reporting to the Head of 1st Line Risk & Compliance, you will be managing a growing team, responsible for partnering with the business to provide first line risk and compliance advice and guidance on all technology related matters (including, but not limited to, those relating to cyber security).

    This newly created role will see you leading the integration and implementation of new risk and compliance methodologies and frameworks for the Client & Technology division, in a dynamic business undergoing transformation and entering a new phase of technology infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach and develop a growing team of Technology Risk and Compliance SMEs.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of technology related risk and compliance practices across the Client & Technology division.
  • Provide risk, control and compliance advice and guidance to senior leaders in executing their risk responsibilities.
  • Facilitate the identification and assessment of risks and controls against business objectives and core processes.
  • Assist the business to design, implement and operate a control environment that mitigates technology risks, meets obligations and complies with the requirements of enterprise policies.
  • Assess the design and operating effectiveness of key IT risk and obligation related controls.
  • Oversee and support the identification, management and resolution of technology related incidents, breaches and issues.
  • Identify and assess delivered risks arising from changes to technology, processes and regulatory change.
  • Provide insights into emerging technology related risks and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and review relevant reporting on technology risk and compliance matters and trends.
  • To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • 7-10 years Technology Risk / Compliance experience (preferably within financial services).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or an IT related discipline.
  • CISA or CRISC certification.
  • Experience managing a growing team and a passion for developing people.
  • Technical savvy and technical knowledge / experience in technology platforms and practices (e.g. Cloud, Business Systems, Architecture, IT / Cyber Security).
  • Strong understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape as it relates to information security / cyber security risk (e.g. CPS 234).
  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Advanced ability to research, interpret and advise on complex risk and compliance requirements and scenarios.
