- Salary: $119,317 to $123,822 – ASO8 – Full Time / Ongoing appointment
- Significant contribution to the vision, goals and leadership of the Mental Health Strategy & Planning Branch.
- Management of key business and strategic planning processes relating to the work of the Corporate and Strategic Advice Team and to broader Mental Health Strategy & Planning Branch outcomes.
- Management oversight of Corporate and Strategic Advice team operations and more broadly as required across the of the Mental Health Strategy & Planning Branch (including the flow of correspondence matters).
- Management and supervision of Mental Health Strategy & Planning Branch staff, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and staff in Lived Experience roles.
- Management of and collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including people with lived experience of mental distress.
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Description
Overview:
The Principal Officer is responsible for the management, coordination, and advice on operations within the Corporate and Strategic Advice Team within the Mental Health Strategy & Planning Branch (DHW). Supporting strategic systems and contributing to the design and modelling of service outcomes providing personalised mental health care and supporting the Department and Minister in their obligations, in line with South Australian and National mental health agendas.
The Principal Officer will contribute to the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of state-funded mental health services and outcomes for consumers and their families by:
