    Embark on a rewarding career as the Manager of external engagement activities at SA Water. In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping successful planning and delivery for capital and business projects. Your responsibilities will extend to leading a high performing customer facing team, reviewing existing processes and developing an engagement framework, mitigating risks, and enhancing our corporate reputation.

    We welcome applications from individuals with significant experience in people leadership, a strong understanding and working knowledge of Aboriginal engagement, guiding sizeable and intricate teams, along with a background in business governance.

    In addition, your responsibilities will include:

    Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.

    You will:

    • Build and lead an effective team that works collaboratively toward achieving the organisation's goals.
    • Foster contemporary stakeholder engagement practice and sensibility across the organisation.
    • Lead stakeholder engagement for strategic, high profile and sensitive projects.
    • Manage Aboriginal Stakeholder Engagement across the organisation.

    Your success in this role will come from:

    • Tertiary qualifications in Community or Stakeholder Engagement, Public Participation, Social Research, Communications, or a related discipline, or significant demonstrated relevant experience.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience facilitating large group activities.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and engage a diverse team.
    • Demonstrated experience engaging and partnering with first nations people and ensuring the delivery of benefits aligned with reconciliation (for example, RAP commitments).
    • Demonstrated ability to identify risks and problem solve to identify solutions compatible with governance frameworks, business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
    • Experience enabling the delivery of infrastructure projects by managing effective stakeholder engagement programs or programs similar in nature.
    • Demonstrated history of cultivating effective stakeholder relationships that enable robust discussion to navigate complex community issues and resolve conflict is desirable.
